Draft Beer Towers –Undeniably the Center Pieces in a Pub

Before explaining draft beer towers, it is essential that we must know what draft beer is.

Not that we are misjudging people’s familiarity will all terms related to beer, but the fact is many of us are not aware of the difference between draft beer and regular beer.

Difference between draft and regular beers

The regular beer most of us know is sold in cans and bottles. Bottled beer undergoes pasteurization before bottling and has a typical shelf life of about three months. Canned beer is filtered before it is filled in cans.

Draft beer is beer that is served from casks or kegs. This beer is almost always unpasteurized and therefore has the true flavor of beer unlike canned and bottled beers. The only caveat is draft beer is delicate or unstable and hence must be consumed immediately after being “tapped”.

Brewers and retailers take a lot of effort and spend a lot of money to keep beer cold in kegs and get it to the consumer as quickly as possible. Beer that is not pasteurized must be stored, since it gets out of date typically 45 days after the keg is filled.

Once a guzzler is at a pub where fresh draft beer is available, there is nothing like enjoying it when the beer flows through elegant draft beer towers.

Draft beers are stored in large containers with 5 gallons or more capacity.

Top end draft beer towers are made of the highest quality material: stainless steel to AISI304 with fasteners made of superior quality German copper and brass.

As mentioned earlier, draft beer must be fresh and served cold. To ensure this, the beer dispensing arrangement in a good bar joint will invariably have a cooling system.

The most common cooling system is glycol cooled. These systems use secondary refrigeration units called power packs or glycol chillers to maintain draft beer at the appropriate temperature all the way from the cooler to the dispensing units.

Beer Towers

Beer towers are self serving dispensers that enhance the guzzlers’ experience. For bar owners beer towers increase sales and drive repeat business.

A great thing about beer towers is you can design a very flexible mounting wherein any tower can be made to fit any type of base and work with any tap. You can have a wide range – from 3 tap faucet to 12 tap faucet constructions.

In any case, beer towers are the centre piece of attraction in a pub. But it is vital that beer must be kept less than 42 degrees from the tap all the way to faucet if the customer has to enjoy the beverage.

Thankfully, glycol systems work perfectly and fritter away very little beer if they are crafted, installed, and maintained properly.

For beer lovers, beer is akin to wine.  Beer aficionados extol virtues of beer just the way whisky drinkers applaud premium scotch. A seasoned guzzler knows which ingredients go into the good stuff, are familiar with various styles of beer, and of course like the right atmosphere.

There is no doubt, draft beer towers contribute a great deal in adding ambiance to beer drinking experience.
